Fear is pretty wild. Both it’s physical and physiological impacts are incredible. What I find most fascinating about fear though are its inconsistencies. For example, I knew a guy who was afraid of heights; but he loved to go skydiving. I thought this was some torturous way to get over his fear. He said it wasn’t. He didn’t associate the two. I myself have ten tattoos and don’t mind a needle touching or puncturing my skin. Put a needle near someone else’s skin in front of me though and I empathetically cringe.

Above all though, I am most intrigued by fear as motivator. I find people who use it as such despicable. (I could care less about Sun Tzu’s and Machiavelli’s views on the subject.) On the flip side, I am in awe of those people who channel their fear and use it as a creative or constructive force.

Hope you had a good vacation. Sorry I missed a week; but I’m putting my next project together.
